Coal Mine Background

A Scoping Study was completed on the project in 2013 as well as successful exploration programs in 2013 and 2014, which resulted in a JORC Resource upgrade.

The current permission requests a mine life of 30 years. It is unclear whether this mine is a going concern as the website has not been updated since 2015 and the project specific website was down in January 2020 when a Definitive Feasibility Study is under way. But the project has not been updated since and appears to be shelved.

Graphics on Cuesta Coal's website suggest that coal would be exported via either Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal or Hay Point Coal Terminal.
