Background

Nalymakitsky Coal Mine is a SURFACE and UNDERGROUND mine in Sakha, Russia.

Since 2018, STS-Ugol LLC held a license to develop the Chulmakan coal deposit. The coal mine is located within the Nalymakitskaya area in the Neryungri district in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). STS Ugol is owned by Sakhatechserviss (50%) and a private individual (50%), according to a Russian corporate database.

The coal mine is located 15km north of Chulman and 35km north of Neryungri.

As of early 2024, it was planned to mine 0.25 million tonnes during the year. Previous production levels are unknown.
