Northern Plains Resource Council

The Northern Plains Resource Council organizes Montana citizens to protect Montana's water quality, family farms and ranches, and quality of life. They are a grassroots conservation and family agriculture group that protects the Northern Plains and the people who make their homes there. Northern Plains was established in 1972 when ranchers from the Bull Mountains and Rosebud County joined together to prevent massive coal strip mining near their homes.
